How did you find our company?
By reading. We start from a name we hold, look for the companies that already trade under those words, and read their sites, listings and public filings. No purchased lists.
Why not simply list the name for sale?
A name that spells one trade is worth most to the few companies in that trade. Writing to them directly is quieter and faster than waiting for one of them to stumble on a listing.
How do you arrive at the figure?
From what comparable names have sold for, how plain and common the words are, and what we paid to hold the name. We give one figure and keep to it.
Is the figure open to discussion?
You are welcome to tell us what the name is worth to you. We will answer honestly, and sometimes the honest answer is that we cannot meet it.
Who holds the money?
A licensed escrow service. You pay them, we transfer the name, and they release the funds only after the name is in your account.
Do we need to change our website?
No. You can keep everything where it is and point the new name at it. The old address keeps working for as long as you renew it.
What if we are not interested?
Say so, in one word if you like. We will not write again about that name.
