Start to transfer
From a reply to the name in your account.
Four stages, each one sharper than the last. Most of them take days, not weeks, and none of them asks you to commit before you have seen the figure.
The four stages
-
A reply
You answer the note or send the form. A yes, a question, or a no all count; we answer each within one working day.
-
One figure
We give a single asking figure for the name, in writing. Not a range, and not a figure that moves when you show interest.
-
Funds held in escrow
Once the figure is agreed, payment goes to a licensed escrow service, not to us. Nobody is paid until the name is in your hands.
-
The name, yours
We move the name to the registrar account you choose. When it shows there under your control, escrow releases the funds and the file is closed.
After the transfer
Many companies point the new name at their current site the same afternoon and move email over when it suits them. Your web or IT provider can do both; if you have neither, we can explain the two settings involved in plain words.
Ready for the first stage?
It is only a reply. Nothing is agreed until you say so in writing.
